OVERLAND PARK, Kan. --- Jan. 25, 2016--- Block Healthcare Development, LLC's (BHD) latest development, Johnson County Imaging Center (JCIC), will be celebrating the grand opening of their new offices located at 11717 W. 112th St. in Overland Park, Kan. on Jan. 27, 2016. The grand opening celebration will begin with a with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce and will be followed by a small presentation featuring speakers from BHD, JCIC and the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the newly renovated medical facility and enjoy refreshments.
In late 2014, the physicians at JCIC began looking for a new place to call home. While they wanted to stay in Overland Park where their offices resided at the time, they considered building outside of Overland Park for their new home. BHD was given the opportunity to step in and help keep the imaging center in Overland Park, while at the same time investing in a facility. The new facility is less than a quarter mile from the previous location they called home for over 30 years.
"We found a unique opportunity to repurpose an existing building into a beautiful medical facility," said Stephen Bessenbacher, Vice President of BHD. "In addition to delivering a great facility, BHD was able to structure a deal that allowed the physicians of JCIC to invest in the real estate along with us. It really turned out to be a win-win for both organizations."
"At JCIC, we provide full-service diagnostic imaging services, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine Studies and now a beautiful, dedicated Women's Imaging Center," said Dr. Erik Miller, physician at JCIC. "We are so proud to call this beautiful, new facility our home."
Block Healthcare Development made the finishing touches to the medical facility in December 2015 and JCIC opened its doors on Dec. 22, 2015.
