Kansas City, Missouri—Block Real Estate Services, LLC (BRES) Nall Corporate Centre I development, (Teva Pharmaceuticals) is now Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified.
BRES is so excited to be a part of this elite group of developments for TEVA Pharmaceuticals and was just recently recognized with a certification through the USGBC (Unites States Green Building Council) that recognizes best-in-class building strategies and practices for the LEED Certification for Shell & Core.
Having a LEED certified building saves both money and resources while promoting renewable clean energy. By being a part of the LEED program you are helping transform how buildings are designed, constructed, maintained and operated. The Teva Pharmaceuticals' project is located at the southwest corner of College Blvd. and Nall Ave, approximately 13 miles southwest of downtown Kansas City, Missouri in Overland Park, Kansas The 154,268 gross square foot office building is 100% leased by Teva Pharmaceuticals.
The TEVA facility has been designed to meet the requirements for LEED Certification through the USGBC. Sustainable features including Erosion and Sedimentation Control (ERC), drip irrigation, energy management systems, energy efficient mechanical systems and low flow bathrooms were installed to conserve water. Located on site is an area to separate trash along with an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) management system to sustain the comfort of employees. An alternative transportation initiative that features bike racks, on-site shower/changing facilities and preferred parking spaces for low-emitting and fuel-efficient vehicles is also present.
