Kansas City, Missouri—Block Real Estate Services construction division, Block Construction Services, (BCS) is a proud sponsor of the Diamond of Dreams event that was held on June 26th at Kaufmann Stadium.

The evening started with an exclusive VIP event held in the Diamond Club featuring Capital Grille then continued with on-field activities including a silent auction, Tivol Raffle, live music by the Michael Beers Band, and ended with a spectacular fireworks display on the baseball field. Many past and present Royals players attended the event.

Proceeds from Diamond of Dreams will benefit Royals Charities and The University of Kansas Hospital’s Neonatal Medical Home Department. The Neonatal Medical Home Department offers family-centered, long-term primary care dedicated exclusively to premature babies and those born with complex medical conditions. This unique, all-inclusive care is provided in an outpatient clinic located at the hospital.

KU Neonatal division hits home with BCS’s Vice President, Brad Simma and his wife Lisa, who had a baby girl (Kinley) born in November nearly 15 weeks early and weighing only 1 lb. 9 oz. After spending 86 days in the NICU department at KU she has been seen by the KU Neonatal Home Group since she was discharged in late February. This unique department has brought convenience and peace of mind to Brad and Lisa as they could bring Kinley to one place vs. having to tote Kinley to five different appointments on a regular basis, they make one stop having all the experts come to them. This happens at the Neonatal Medical Home at the University of Kansas Hospital. View the full story here
